Alwyn Rehabilitation offers many programs to help people return to their optimal level of functioning in all areas of daily living. 

These include;


  • Upper and lower limb orthopaedic procedures, injuries or fractures
  • Joint replacement 
  • Spinal surgery including laminectomy and/or fusion


  • Stroke and Non Stroke, including recent onset or deterioration due to neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease.


  • Following an acute surgical intervention
  • Following an acute medical condition or a recent exacerbation of a medical 
  • condition such as Septicaemia or Renal Failure.
  • Exacerbation of a chronic illness
  • Acute and chronic musculoskeletal disease
  • Back pain
  • Limitations in mobility or changes in balance, or falls

We offer a holistic approach with a multidisciplinary team of professionals that work closely under the direction of the Rehabilitation Specialist in collaboration with your General Practitioner and Specialist.

The multidisciplinary team includes;

  • Nurses
  • Physiotherapists
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Social Worker
  • Dietitian
  • Speech Pathology
  • Rehabilitation Registrar
  • Psychologist
  • Pharmacist

Patients admitted to the above programs must have a reasonable expectation of functional gain and be medically stable.
