Alwyn has contracts with all the major health funds in NSW, together with DVA, third party and workers compensation insurers. We are contracted to provide both inpatient and day only rehabilitation programs. Referrals are accepted from General Practitioners and Specialists, directed to the Rehabilitation Specialist. Admission Criteria
- Patients with identified impairments and disabilities that can be further minimised by rehabilitation program eg. post-operative orthopaedic patients following a joint replacement and patients with neurological impairment or disability (stroke, MS).
- Medically stable.
- All patients must be allowed to weight-bear (unless discussed with CEO and Director of Rehabilitation prior to acceptance into the program).
- Adequate cognition to allow active participation in the rehabilitation program.
